I started The Dessert Island back in 2024, but I've been developing delightful dessert recipes since 2022. My love for baking and cooking goes all the way back to my childhood in the 1980s and 1990s, and I started my dessert blog as a way to share my tasty creations with the world. I wanted to create a space where everyone, no matter their baking or cooking experience, can approach even the most intimidating recipe with applicable tips, tricks, and a sense of why we do certain things in the culinary world. That way, they can master each recipe with confidence. Let's face it, grocery prices are high, and I want you to trust and know that each of my recipes has been tested and will work each and every time you make it.
Each recipe on the blog has been written, tested, and photographed by a real human being!
I currently live in the San Diego area, and when I'm not writing recipes or working in the kitchen, I'm traveling the world, playing with my cats, hanging out with my husband, or exploring local coffee shops.
