Ingredients 

Mango Layer

  • ¾ cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla yogurt
  • 1 cup frozen mango chunks

Strawberry Layer

  • ¾ cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 ½ cups diced frozen strawberries

Instructions

  • First, make the mango smoothie. Pour the orange juice into a blender, then add the vanilla yogurt and frozen mango chunks. Blend until the smoothie is smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Divide the mango smoothie between 2 (12-ounce) glasses. They should be filled halfway. Place the glasses in the freezer to keep the mango smoothie chilled.
  • Give your blender pitcher a quick rinse so you can make the strawberry smoothie layer. Pour the orange juice into the blender, and add the yogurt, honey, and frozen strawberries. Blend until everything is smooth then divide the strawberry smoothie between the two glasses, pouring it over the mango smoothie.
  • Garnish with extra strawberries or diced mangos, if desired, and serve.

Notes

•  When you are adding ingredients to a blender, always start with the liquid ingredients and put the solid ingredients in last. The liquids will create a vortex that will pull the solids to the blades.
•  The total yield is 24 ounces. It can easily be split between 2 (12-ounce) glasses or 3 (8-ounce) glasses.
•  To double the recipe, use 1 cup of orange juice for each layer, then double the amount of the other ingredients. Doubling the juice will cause the smoothies to be too runny.
